1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the CVguru website (www.cvguru.co.za) and our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our website or services.

These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("Client", "User", "you") and CVguru ("we", "us", "our", "the Company").

2. Our Services

CVguru provides professional CV writing, cover letter writing, LinkedIn profile optimization, and career coaching services. Our services include:

• Professional CV Revamp: Transforming existing CVs into polished, ATS-optimized documents (R40)
• Modern CV Templates: Downloadable templates for various career levels (R50)
• Cover Letter Writing: Custom-written cover letters tailored to specific job applications
• LinkedIn Optimization: Professional profile makeover to attract recruiters
• Career Coaching: One-on-one sessions for interview preparation and career guidance

All services are delivered digitally via email or download link. No physical products are shipped.

3. Pricing & Payment

All prices listed on our website are in South African Rand (ZAR) and include VAT where applicable. We reserve the right to change prices at any time without prior notice.

3.1 Payment Methods

We accept the following payment methods:

• PayFast (credit card, debit card, EFT, SnapScan, Mobicred)
• Direct Bank Transfer (EFT) – orders will be processed after payment reflects

3.2 Payment Confirmation

Once payment is successfully processed, you will receive a confirmation email. Our CV experts will begin working on your order within 1 hour of payment confirmation.

4. Delivery Policy (24 Hours Maximum)

At CVguru, we pride ourselves on fast turnaround times. We guarantee delivery of your completed CV within 24 hours of payment confirmation.

4.1 Delivery Timeline

• Payment Confirmed: Your order enters our queue immediately
• CV Writing Starts: Within 1 hour of payment confirmation
• First Draft Delivery: Within 24 hours of payment confirmation
• Revisions: Delivered within 12-24 hours of your request

4.2 Delivery Method

Your completed CV and accompanying documents will be delivered via:

• Email to the address you provided during checkout
• Download link from your order confirmation page
• PDF and Word (.docx) formats included

4.3 Late Delivery

In the rare event that we fail to deliver within 24 hours, you are entitled to:

• A 20% discount on your next order, OR
• A full refund if you choose to cancel (requested within 7 days)

Late delivery does not apply to orders placed on weekends or South African public holidays (delivery will be next business day).

5. Refund & Cancellation Policy

5.1 Cancellation Before Work Starts

You may cancel your order for a full refund if you notify us within 1 hour of placing your order and before any work has commenced on your CV.

5.2 Cancellation After Work Has Started

If work on your CV has already begun, a 50% refund may be issued at our discretion, depending on the amount of work completed.

5.3 Satisfaction Guarantee

We want you to be completely satisfied with your CV. If you are not happy with the result:

• You may request unlimited free revisions until you are satisfied
• If after 3 rounds of revisions you remain unsatisfied, you may request a full refund (within 14 days of delivery)

5.4 Non-Refundable Circumstances

Refunds will not be issued in the following cases:

• You provided incorrect or incomplete information that affected the quality of the CV
• You failed to respond to revision requests for more than 30 days
• You have already downloaded and used the CV (by our digital watermark/tracking)
• You simply changed your mind after delivery without requesting revisions

5.5 How to Request a Refund

To request a refund, email us at refunds@cvguru.co.za with your order number and reason for the request. We will respond within 2 business days.

6. User Obligations

When using our services, you agree to:

• Provide accurate, complete, and truthful information about your work history, education, and skills
• Not submit false or misleading information
• Not use our services for any illegal purpose
• Not copy, reproduce, or redistribute our CV templates without purchasing them
• Not share your purchased templates with third parties
• Respect our intellectual property rights

7. Intellectual Property

7.1 Our Ownership

All content on the CVguru website, including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, templates, designs, and software, is the intellectual property of CVguru and is protected by South African and international copyright laws.

7.2 Your Ownership

Upon successful payment for our CV writing service, you own the final CV document. You may use it for personal, non-commercial purposes including job applications, printing, and sharing with recruiters.

For CV template purchases, you receive a personal, non-transferable license to use the template for your own CV. You may not resell, redistribute, or sublicense the templates.

7.3 Prohibited Uses

You may not:

• Republish our templates or content without written permission
• Sell or rent our templates or content to third parties
• Use our templates to create competing products
• Remove any copyright or proprietary notices from our materials

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by South African law, CVguru shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to:

• Loss of employment opportunities or job offers
• Loss of profits, revenue, or business
• Loss of data or damage to your reputation
• Damages resulting from your use or inability to use our services

Our total liability to you for any claim arising from these Terms or your use of our services shall not exceed the amount you paid for the specific service giving rise to the claim.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

Our services are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We make no representations or warranties of any kind, express or implied, regarding:

• The accuracy, reliability, or completeness of our CV content
• That our services will meet your specific requirements or expectations
• That our website will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless CVguru and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any and all claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from:

• Your use of our services or website
• Your violation of these Terms
• Your violation of any third-party rights, including intellectual property rights
• Any false or misleading information you provide to us

11. Governing Law (South Africa)

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any disputes arising under or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Cape Town, South Africa.

These Terms comply with the following South African legislation:

• Consumer Protection Act (CPA) 68 of 2008
• Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA) 4 of 2013
• Electronic Communications and Transactions Act (ECTA) 25 of 2002

12. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting to our website. Your continued use of our services after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

We will notify users of material changes via:

• A notice on our website homepage for 30 days
• Email notification to registered users (where applicable)
